Books were always there for me as a kid, like friends. I grew up in the country, and in the 90’s, everything was a slower way of living. I didn’t have Youtube or Google. Or even Kindle. But I had books, and I had the library. They provided entertainment as an only child. I never stopped loving books, even as an adult. So now - it comes as no surprise to anyone who knows me that I want to make myself a life that includes books in a big way. I feel called to bring a bookstore to Lawrenceburg that also creates community. Let’s gather to celebrate life with books. Make new friends, which lets face it - its not easy as adults, is it? But maybe that’s the secret - find what you love, and then find your people.
My future plans for Bookish Visions:
Donation drive for used books, giving them a 2nd life & keep affordable prices.
Goals: Create a Book Club for Lawrenceburg.
Offer DIY Crafty Classes like painting/crochet/knit/gardening.
Have Book Bingo Potlucks to talk about the books and enjoy community.
….more ideas are coming as I build this idea.
I hope you find adventures and words of insight to get through whatever life throws, the good & the bad. That’s what Bookish Visions is all about - community, coming together in the same realm for the love of books, that’s the magic. & That’s what I hope to accomplish here in Lawrenceburg, KY.
Let’s Stay in Touch
Have a question, need a personalized recommendation, or simply want to talk books? Reach out anytime—I love hearing from fellow readers. You can also use this section if you’d like to enquire about volunteering, I’d like to add a few people to the team in the near future.
Our Expertise
Besides being a self-proclaimed avid reader, I have only ever worked for other companies. I have worked large retail bookstores in the past, though. I am always learning, and I ask for patience along the way. I only want to bring the best book experience to Lawrenceburg as I know how. I am excited to go on this journey - meeting new, bookish friends in the community & getting involved. If you like to chat books, feel free to shoot an email! If you’d like to work together, as I may need a team soon, please also contact me if you’re interested. If you’d like to just volunteer without any commitment, you can do that also! Hope to hear from you soon!
